3:10 didn’t you pin the wrong sides together?? I don’t understand how you sewed this hem, opened it, then sewed again, and it’s on the outside but in the final product it’s on the inside?

Hi there, love your tutorial. I’m a complete beginner but want to try this! Where would you recommend I find the pattern? I’ve found different designs on etsy (long skirt but sleeveless and another with the skirt but v-neck bodice) - can these be used and modified by hand? Thank you so much x

This was a great tutorial! I'm a total beginner (only sewn twice) and followed this to make a fitted tablecloth for my children's table. Before cutting I added an extra 1 cm all around the fabric. I knew I'd struggle with the folding and sewing 2mm of the seam for the elastic. I'm glad I did cause it somehow fits perfect lol!

Remember to remove the basting stitch. I skipped this step and it made turning the scrunchy impossible. I finished my first demo scrunchy on scrap fabric and it turned out great! Thank you!

This comment is more for me because I’m really new to sewing and didn’t get it. At 3:08 you will sew wrong sides together, sewing over the right side. Cut close to the sewing line, then turn wrong side out and sew again. This creates a double like seam, one hidden inside.

I always wondered how to make these. I keep my torn sheets in hopes to make smaller ones. Now I have a granddaughter. I can make her sheets now as she grows :) .
